Tara's Journey to Healing
Tara began her career in healthcare at just 16 years old as a Certified Nursing Assistant. The joy of helping others inspired her to further her education, earning her LPN, Associate RN, and eventually her BSN.
While her passion for caring for others grew, the physical demands of working in healthcare—combined with a childhood on the farm in South Dakota—took a toll on her body. Years of chronic pain eventually began affecting her mental well-being as well. After experiencing frustration with the limited options provided by Western medicine, Tara knew there had to be a more holistic path to health and healing.
That search led her to yoga in 2011, where she discovered the mind-body connection that would transform her life. By 2014, she completed her yoga teacher training, which opened the door to further exploration. She went on to earn multiple certifications in energy healing modalities, learning practices that supported deep healing of her body, mind, and spirit.
Integrating these practices not only restored her own health but also ignited her passion to share them with others. In 2019, Idol Hands Healing was born. What began as a small Reiki studio in a friend’s guest house has grown into a thriving wellness practice, now offering:
-
Yoga Rx – therapeutic yoga designed for healing and restoration
-
Reflexology – balancing energy through the feet and hands
-
Acu-Detox – auricular acupuncture to release, reset, and restore
-
Reiki & Energy Healing – restoring balance to body, mind, and spirit
Today, Tara continues to combine her healthcare background with holistic practices, holding space for others to find the same transformation she experienced—true healing from the inside out.
